It’s Christmas in July!
For this Fix I asked my stylist for some dresses for the upcoming schoolyear, specifically something that was Kate Middleton-esque (LOVE HER!). She’s learned by now not to send me pants unless I specifically ask for them. (Funny fact, there was a rumor going around at my work for a while that I was Amish because I only wear dresses, except on Fridays for jeans day! I can’t make this stuff up. I took it in stride, I thought it was hilarious!)
My stylist also knows I hate heels and sent me some nice flats instead. I love how she really knows me, and the fact that she pays close attention to my Pinterest board.
Let’s get started!
Kaileigh Morton Knit Dress
I love the simplicity of this dress. This is a fun one to coordinate shoes and accessories with-blank slate! Meet the Teacher, here I come!
French Grey Batista Lace Dress
Excuse my dog, Ollie, in the background. He was pretty content on staying right where he was for my blog modeling session!
I love the simplicity of this one and the lace overlay. Navy and gray are some of my favorite go-to colors.
Renee C Leena Printed Skirt
I really stepped back from skirts a while ago, mostly out of laziness. I also dislike pencil skirts because I feel like they don’t fit my personality. They seem so limiting, unflowy, straight, and boring. (I like symbolism, what can I say.) I prefer dresses because they’re an all-in-one outfit, and I don’t have to worry about finding a coordinating shirt, but I instantly fell in love with this one! The elastic band makes it comfortable, and the pattern was one I could match easily with tops I already have.
Kensie Marni Notched Collar Blazer
When my husband saw this blazer he said, “Welcome back to the 80s, now you just need to add shoulder pads!” It all comes back around eventually! I really like this though! It can be dressed up or down, and goes with the Kaileigh dress as well. The sleeves can be rolled up or down, and since I’m always cold, I can see getting a lot of use out of it.
Tahari Invest Laser Cut Flat
I always love a good pair of flats, especially ones that have a fun color like these! The square toe is different than any thing I currently own, and they go with every outfit I was sent! I’m a big fan of wearing “loud” shoes with my outfits and finding accessories to match.
I loved this Fix! It goes down as one of my top favorites. Then again, I really love them all!
