Stitch Fix #3

The postman came today while B was taking a nap and delivered my favorite package! As soon as I see that teal logo it’s like Santa visited my front porch!

For this package, I requested a cross body bag to my stylist. Also included were 2 tops, navy and burgundy, a scarf, and a denim jacket!

My favorite part about Stitch Fix is seeing how a complete stranger interprets my style preferences (thanks to the survey, and my style Pinterest board!). It’s kind of like that moment when your husband gets you the perfect gift and you think “Wow! You really WERE listening!”

I always open my personalized stylist’s letter before I view any of my 5 items. I like to keep the element of surprise before I view the grand prize underneath the tissue wrapping. Reading her comments first, then seeing the clothes is akin to reading a book from beginning to end. I think if I were to accidentally see the clothes before my letter a tiny part of me would feel as if the surprise was ruined.

(You can bet I’m not the girl who will go hunting around the house for birthday or Christmas presents before the big day. I don’t want to know until it’s time!)

Morrie Boyfriend Denim Jacket

I don’t own a denim jacket! Maybe because I’ve been waiting for the perfect one to come along! This one is lightweight, super comfy, and can be dressed up or down very easily, in my book. I am ALWAYS cold and I believe I can never have too many jackets or cardigans. ($58)

Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse

I’ve been in the market for finding work-friendly shirts that can be dressed up or down, weekend or weekday. It doesn’t get very cold in Florida except a few days a year, so I don’t spend a ton of money on wintery clothes. This one is nice because it’s longer sleeved, yet lightweight. It can be layered underneath or on top. It’s flowy, comfortable and the navy color means it can be paired with just about everything! I’ve found that after having a kid, I don’t particularly care for tighter fitting clothing as I once did (too much extra weight and curves to contend with!). ($58)

Kasha Mixed Material Top

This top is lightweight and made from 2 different materials. I think it fits nicely and again follows the comfortable-yet stylish look I was going for. It’s work friendly, and can be dressed up or down. Multiple colors make it versatile with jewelry pairings or bottoms. ($44)

Haley Bird Print Infinity Scarf

I’m a scarf fanatic. I don’t even know how many I have, but it’s enough me to wear one a month without repeating. I consider scarves a must-have accessory to most any outfit and are much more comfortable than throwing on a necklace. (Maybe they’re my favorite accessory because they’re easy?) 😉 In true Stitch Fix style, my scarf went along perfectly with everything. I love that Stitchfix allows me to pair things up for different looks! ($28)

Cross Body Mariposa Mini Satchel

by Street Level

This bag was the perfect size, color, and texture.  All moms must have a cross body bag because handsfree is the way to go! ($58)

I kept three items from this Fix. While I liked them all, I LOOOOOOVED three of them! My philosophy is if you don’t LOVE it then you don’t NEED it.

I sent the other 2 items back in the return envelope and free shipping label that’s provided, stuck it in the mailbox, and now they are on their way back to the return center. Easy, and now I have 3 great items to add to my closet! Which three items do you think I kept? Which would you have chosen?
